Mixed Magic Theatre is moving full steam ahead with the plans and changes I outlined previously. There are several changes to note, including Mixed Magic's change to season schedule that follows the calendar year.
We are scheduling more events and programs throughout Rhode Island and New England, including performances as an ensemble-in-residence at Hibernian Hall in Roxbury, MA, where we have already done two shows of a four-show series. We performed "A Kwanzaa Song" for First Night in late December and "Fate Comes Knocking" in January. In June, we will present a new concert show, "Legends in the Mist."
"When Mahalia Sings" has been optioned by a New Jersey-based producer for development as a national tour. While we hope these efforts will help substain Mixed Magic Theatre in the future, we remain dedicated to presenting high-quality theatre at our home at Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket, RI and we will stay focused on our mission to build more literate and arts-active communities.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank our friends, donors and sponsors for their on going support.
Believe in Magic...
Jonathan Pitts-Wiley, Artistic Director
Hey Mixed Magic Theatre Fans, we're excited to announce that we've partnered with The Contemporary Theater Company and Epic Theatre Company to form The Rhode Island Theater Alliance, or RITA!
What does this mean? Further collaborations between the three theaters, including transfers of shows from one space to another, shared resources, and great opportunities for YOU to see even better work from all three of our theaters!
Check out our new Facebook page to learn more, and please "Like" CTC and ETC's Facebook pages to spread the support.
We think you're going to love RITA.

WAYS TO DONATE
******************************************
From Artistic Director Jonathan Pitts-Wiley:
Like most non-profit arts organizations, Mixed Magic Theatre's continued success depends upon grants and generous donations along the way. We believe in affordable prices for the community at large, paying our bills on time and paying the talented men and women who grace our stage whenever possible. As with any organization, there have been lean times in the past and there may be lean times in the future. Mixed Magic Theatre was able to keep its door open by sheer force of will, a few dedicated (and possibly crazy) souls and generosity of people who believe in building more literate, arts-active communities. This is where our magic begins and it is vital that it continue.
Based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island's beautiful Hope Artiste Village, Mixed Magic Theatre is a 501 (c ) (3) arts organization founded in 2000 by Ricardo and Bernadet Pitts-Wiley.
For the past decade, the Company has strived to bring diverse stories and images to the stage through prose and song, tackling well-known dramatics as well as original theatrical productions.
Under the leadership of new Artistic Director Jonathan Pitts-Wiley, Mixed Magic Theatre continues to pursue excellence and remains committed to its mission:
Building more literate and arts-active communities.
